We have provided you with several free downloadable tools for you as a class leader to use to assist in your planning, organizing, promoting, conducting, and assessing the effectiveness of your Ornaments of Grace class. We suggest you look at each tool and determine whether it will serve your needs; their use is optional.

Summarizes our shared beliefs as the founding members of the Ornaments of Grace ministry.

Recommendations for preparing both you and your mentors to be effective leaders.

Class Plan Summary

Outline of plan for all six classes (menu, recipes, who will lead discussion).

Letter to the Host

A letter to send to the host of your class to help her prepare her home for both guest and the lessons to help ensure the class runs smoothly.

Class Planning Checklist

An outline and schedule for all six classes including menus, recipes, and who will lead discussion.

Weekly Class Plan

A planning sheet for each weeks use prior to class to help take notes of how that class will operate (which recipes will be demonstrated and by whom, which mentor will lead the discussion, any other details you want to include to help facilitate the class).

Registration Form & Registration Letter

A introductory letter for you to mail/email to your students six weeks prior to the first class, along with a registration form to be returned to you with fee.

Modify the letter to fit your specific information and fee.

Guidelines for Participants

Please provide to your students in advance of the first class to help them understand your expectations and and allow them to be prepared.

Table Talk Questions

A few questions to encourage discussion regarding that evenings lesson topic during the dinner portion of the evening.

Letter with Reminder to order the book

A reminder letter to mail/email to students two weeks prior to first class reminding them to purchase the book required for the Ornaments of Grace classes.

Menu Themes

Ideas for topical menu themes to use in planning the food portion of your classes. Note that you may choose for budgetary reasons to simplify the food to teaching one technique and demonstrating/serving only one or two recipes instead of an entire meal. Even when serving a full meal, we only demonstrate a few select recipes in class.

This allows your students to provide feedback the final week of class to help you evaluate the effectiveness of the class.
